Hagia Sophia is closed between 12:00 - 14:30 on Fridays due to Friday prayer.
There is a mandatory security queue, and it is not skippable. In high season, security checks can take up to an hour.
Best time to visit before 10:00 and after 15:00. Between 10:00 and 15:00 it is crowded and specialy at weekends & public holidays.
Please note that you cannot enter the attraction with the GetYourGuide voucher. You need to pick up your ticket at our kiosk located just next to the entrance.
Women must cover their hair and shoulders. Scarves are available for 100TRY
Men and women must cover their knees. If you wear shorts, you can buy a body cover for 100TRY
Only Turkish citizens are allowed in the prayer area during prayer times
Bring your headphones, or you can rent headphones for 100TRY
