TATLI KAÇIK, written by John Patrick, comes to life on stage with Suha Uygur as the General Artistic Director and Naşit Özcan as the Director.
Opal, who makes a living by collecting garbage, lives with Mr. Tanner and shows endless love and affection to those around her. Opal's quiet and peaceful life will change with the arrival of three uninvited guests. However, Sol, Gloria and Brad are only looking out for their own interests. Opal includes them in her life as if to be free of her loneliness. Unfortunately, these guests are reluctant to reciprocate Opal's goodwill and love.
Naşit Özcan, the director of the play, says the following about Opal: “In today's world where people are rapidly distancing themselves from each other, where everything is done for the sake of winning, where competition blinds the eyes and all human values are trampled underfoot, Opal, or goodness, challenges everything alone. Opal is unique and precious just like the precious stone it is named after. She needs to be protected and cherished. Because only goodness will save us in a world dominated by greed, money and evil.”
