Hagia Sophia is closed between 12:00 - 14:30 on Fridays due to Friday prayer.
Ladies need to cover their hair and wear long skirts or loose trousers.
Gentlemen cannot wear shorts higher than knee level.
Hagia Sophia Mosque tour has been operating from outside since January 15th due to new regulations applied. Guided entries will not be allowed to avoid noise inside.
Foreign visitors will be able to enter from a side entrance by paying the entrance fee, which is 25 Euros per person.
The entrance fee is not included in the E-pass.

From hotels in the old city: Take the T1 tram to Sultanahmet tram station. It's a 5-minute walk from there.
From hotels in Taksim: Take the F1 funicular from Taksim Square to Kabatas, then transfer to the T1 tram to Sultanahmet tram station. It's a 2-3 minute walk from the tram station.
From hotels in Sultanahmet: Most hotels in the area are within walking distance.

This tour of Hagia Sophia’s exterior was incredible. Standing outside the world’s largest dome for 800 years felt awe-inspiring. The guide shared stories of both Orthodox Christendom and Islamic history. Every detail of the architecture was explained beautifully. It gave a real sense of the building’s historical significance
